Hello!  A little about me...

I am a huge believer that all things happen for a reason in our lives.  I am who I am today because of the people in my life that I have crossed paths with.  Every person I meet holds a special place in my heart and I truly believe that God plans those things out!

How I became a Massage Therapist:  My first year off to college, I went to Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO.  I had no idea of what I wanted to study there, but I did know that I wanted to get licensed as a masage therapist after I graduated college.  Well, I decided to tackle on two objectives and attend SBU and go to massage therapy school the same year.  I attended Professional Massage Training Center in Springfield, MO while completing my first year of college at SBU.  Times were tough trying to balance two schools, a job, friends, and life in general~but I made it!  I graduated PMTC in November 2005 and I decided to move back to the Lee's Summit area to work near my family.  I began working with my business partner, Megan R. Runion, at Body and Soul in Parkville, MO.  While I was working, I was also finishing my general education at UMKC.  I have decided after a 6-month trial period at Body and Soul, to resign from that location due to driving expenses and time.  I absolutely loved working along side with Megan, however I knew I had to make it more convenient and feasible so I am working in the Lee's Summit area currently.

College Transitions:  After attending one year at SBU and taking 1 semester at UMKC, I had finally decided where I needed to be to complete my college studies.  The funny part to this story is that the very first college I had ever visited is where I am currently at and absolutely love!  I am a student at Central Missouri State University studying Dietetics and Nutrition.  I have a huge passion for Nutrition and Fitness and I want to help others learn that eating healthy can be FUN!  I reside in Lee's Summit and commute to CMSU.  I am finishing college to obtain my B.S. in Dietetics and Nutrition and plan on achieving my M.S. alongside.  The human body is so magnificient and the way we properly fuel ourselves is one of the most important aspects in our lives.  Eating healthful foods can be fun and beneficial-it should not be a horrible experience like some diets tend to be.

Purpose In Life:  I do not believe being succesful means making the most money or owning the most assets; I believe that being of service to others is the best gift we all can give!   Yes, I strive everyday to be a better person-however my purpose in life is to help you either get out of pain, enjoy a moment of relaxation and/or clean up your nutrition and exercise plan.  My services that I offer are individualized treatment plans because EVERYBODY is a different person and what works for you, might not work for your neighbor.  That is my job to figure out!
